Jones was born with only four fingers on each of her hands. She had to be operated on many times at a very young age. From there, her love for the sport quickly developed.
Believing in her abilities to become a professional, Jones booked more lessons at the club. She accepted the challenges that being born with disabilities had created for her. Her family considered moving to Barcelona, where Jones could attend the Sanchez-Casal Academy(学院), whose coaches had trained several top tennis players.
