二、阅读理解 (共4题,共 20分)
  • 21、A good relationship between students and teachers makes the classroom a very inviting place.

When you like your teachers, it’s easier to pay attention to their explanations and improve your marks. 【1】When your teachers consider you to be a friend, they’ll feel more open in class and that will probably influence the classroom in a positive way. Now here are some tips to develop a friendly relationship with your teachers:

Ask questions.【2】Show them that you’re interested in their subjects. That will make them notice you. But never ask questions that you already know the answers to. If your teachers realize that you are not asking real questions, they might think that you’re not actually trying to learn, but only trying to make an impression.

【3】When you see one of your teachers in the hall, greet him/her and ask if he/she is going to that concert or if he/she has seen that movie.【4】Some teachers don’t like to have friendly relationships with students, but most of them are happy to chat with their students. After a while, they may start to talk with you about non-school subjects in the classroom.

The rest is totally up to you; it is very easy to develop a friendly relationship with any of your teachers. If you want to be friends with your teachers, just treat them as friends, but don’t forget that no matter how good friends you are, 【5】.

    A.Talk about non-school subjects.

    B.Choose the right subjects.

C.That way you’ll show that you consider him/her as a friend.

D.If you have any questions about that subject, ask them.

E.they will still be your teachers and deserve your respect.

F.we should obey whatever they ask and finish our homework on time.

G.When you consider your teachers as friends, you’ll certainly have more respect for them.

  • 22、Why does our body require warm covers but not our face when it’s cold? The following are the reasons.

Firstly, don’t forget that your head does have some insulation (隔热). 【1】

Secondly, the air temperature near your head won’t be as cold as the room, because the microclimate around your head will be warmed by heat lost from your head and by your exhaled (呼出) breath. 【2】

Then there is physiology. Your sensation of thermal (热的) comfort is primarily driven by skin temperature. This depends on blood flow to the skin. In a cool environment, the hands and feet reduce their blood flow to very low levels. 【3】 So, as the temperature of the rest of the skin falls, that of the head remains higher. This is why you can lose plenty of heat via your head in the cold and should wear a hat.

There are also differences in the impact of different body regions on the overall sensation of cold and thermal comfort. The temperature of the hands and feet dominate your overall perception of how cold you are. 【4】 In a cooling environment, the temperature of the lower back and chest determines the loss of thermal comfort, and during mild exposure to cold, local warming of the chest, rather than the face, produces a strong sensation of comfort.

【5】 So, it is a good idea to keep the body warm in bed, then you can leave the head above the covers. Your nose may get cold, but it won’t stop you sleeping, and it is good to breathe fresh air!

A.Remember to put a hat on.

B.It often has hair and is insulated by it.

C.The latter is warmed in the lungs to about 33℃.

D.There is nothing worse than going out in the cold with wet hair.

E.This is why you can’t fall asleep until your feet warm up in bed.

F.In contrast, the blood flow to the head doesn’t decrease as much.

G.Also, remember that the face is adapted to exposing to the elements.

  • 23、   A young lawyer named Gabriel Massote, from Uberlandia, a city in southeastern Brazil, was diagnosed with blood cancer at age 26. He had chemotherapy(化疗)for almost a year. However, his cancer returned in a worse form, so he had to receive a bone marrow transplant(骨髓移植)。

Brazilian news medium Sempre Familia shared his story. It said how over 1, 000 miles away, in a small town in the state of Rondonia, an unemployed hairdresser named Elza dos Santos came across a series of posters near a supermarket in the city of Ariquemes and went to see what they were about. After learning about the whole thing, Elza signed up as a donor.

Just when the possibility of Gabriel's finding a match in the Bone Marrow Donor Registry in Brazil was about1 in 100, 000, he was blessed. In Rondonia, Elza was informed her marrow was a match for that of a person in need of a transplant and she didn't say no.

She traveled to Rio Grande o Norte, on the opposite side of Brazil, for the transplant. The first attempt didn't work. Elza was called again and she immediately made a second trip in order to repeat the process. Gabriel, now 35, concludes, "She saved me twice, and today my blood cells are Elza's. "

Deeply grateful, Gabriel wanted to find the donor. "When I met Elza and found out that she and her husband were unemployed and living in borrowed space, I was sure I should help them. "The lawyer started a campaign online and soon 465 people donated about$28, 500. Thanks to this generosity, Elza and her family bought a house.
