1、I think it is important for children to learn how to do chores and help their parents with housework. It is not enough to just get good grades at school. 61Children these days depend on their parents too much. They are always asking, 62“你能给我拿一下这个吗?”or “Could you help me with that?” Doing chores helps to develop children’s independence and teaches them how to look after themselves. 63It also helps them to understand the idea of fairness. Since they live in one house with their parents, they should know that everyone should do their part in keeping it clean and tidy. Our neighbors’son got into a good college but during his first year,64他不知道怎样照顾自己.As a result, he often fell ill and his grades dropped.65.The earlier kids learn to be independent, the better it is for their future.

Having enough sleep can make the difference between a great day and a terrible one! Here are the tips for a good night's sleep: First, go to bed and get up at the same time, even if you haven't gotten a good night's sleep. Sleeping late for just a few days can change your body clock to a different cycle. Also, avoid big meals at night. Eating heavy rich food within two hours of bedtime can keep you awake, Your stomach works hard because of those fatty foods, and that may keep you up. Your body produces a chemical called melatonin that helps you sleep. Light changes the amount of melatonin. It produces more in the evening and less in the daytime. So at night turn off your TV and PC. Also, don't read from abacklit device(有背光的设备) like an iPad. Some scientists think that the light from those devices stops your body from making melatonin. 26、We spend hours, days and years of our lives in education. But how perfect do you think your school is? Imagine you could design(设计) your ideal(理想的) school. What would it be like? We wanted to find out what teenagers around the world thought. Here is some designing from four children of different countries.
Ma, China
My dream school would have an Olympicsize swimming pool, two football pitches and a golf course. It would also have a cinema, a gym, a restaurant and a shopping centre. My school has none of these and I think there should be more enjoyable things for pupils to do while they are studying.
Sonia, Italy
I'd like a room where we can go and relax and play computer games and chat with friends. Some older pupils in the school have this but I think there should be a place for everyone to go when they want to switch off (转换注意力) from the lessons.
Richard, USA
I think it would be great to have a day off every week, as well as the weekend. If that day was a Friday or a Monday, we would have a long weekend every week. What fun! I also think school should start later, at about 10 o'clock, and finish earlier. We spend a lot of time at school doing nothing at all. I'm sure we could learn just as much in fewer hours.
Rebecca, Australia
My dream school would be big and roomy with a computer for every person in the school. I'd also like to have a music room where we can just go and play instruments when we want. We need a recording studio, too. I hope that teachers can respect(尊重) our opinions.

B.students can get on well with their teachers
C.students' wishes and interests can be respected
27、What's your pain telling you?
Is that pain you feel in your back, neck or shoulders just a short ache from your new exercise menu? Or is there something deeper and more serious at work? Either way, you decide not to pay attention to it.
"Pain is a warning system; it tells us that something is wrong," says Bradford Butler, a doctor. "Continual pain goes further. It is telling you that a whole system in your body isn't working right. "
For many people and their doctors, the first reaction for pain, and sometimes the second and third reactions as well, is to take some painkillers and go on your way.
"That doesn't solve the problem, " Butler says. "Too often, with back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain or other continual pain, many doctors focus on reducing(减少) the pain rather than finding out the cause. "
Imagine this, you wake up midnight with an unbearable toothache, and then visit a doctor who discovers a huge cavity(空洞)but, instead of repairing the cavity, just gives you some powerful medicine for the pain and sends you home.“Left untreated, the pain would get worse and the damage to the tooth would worsen, leading to bigger and more expensive medical process later on,”Butler says.
Butler offers some advice for those whose bodies are trying to warn them that something is wrong
Choose your doctor wisely. Blind faith (信任) in any doctor is not the answer. Butler says, " Doctors have their own specialty and make sure you find someone who will really help you with your problem. "
Don't let your body resetting its pain level fool you. What happens when you let the pain go? Your body adapts (适应) . Butler says, "When your body gets used to the pain, you think the problem must be gone. While in reality, your body's pain setting has been raised. The only time you're feeling pain is when you're already in terrible poor condition. "
Think of prevention. Dental (牙科的) patients are encouraged to have regular check-ups, whether they're in pain or not, so the doctor can work on potential (潜在的)problems. "That's the way for other pain," Butler says. "Being free of symptoms( 症状)doesn't mean you don't have big problems. It just means that you don't know they're developing. "
" We need to listen to our pain and fix whatever is wrong as soon as possible, " Butler says. " You won't get better until you find the cause of the problem. "
【1】Bradford Butler probably believes that .
A.reducing the pain is the most important
B.finding out the cause of pain is too easy
C.taking some painkillers can solve the problems
D.continual pain warns you that something is seriously wrong
【2】In Paragraph 5 , the writer wants to tell us .
A.medical process is not cheap B.getting fully treated is necessary
C.repairing the cavity is very difficult D.powerful medicine is the best solution
【3】What can we know from the passage?
A.Staying in terrible condition makes us fool.
B.Having regular check-ups is only for dental patients.
C.Finding the cause of the pain will make us healthier.
D.Choosing a wise doctor is important from beginning to end.
