24、Chinese scientist Qian Xuesen, who is known as the father of China’s space technology program, died in 2009.
Qian, also known as Tsien Hsue-shen, set up the country’s first missile (导弹) and rocket research institute, which later helped to start China’s space program.
Thanks largely to Qian, China sent a man into space one of only three countries to do so.
Qian was born in 1911 in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou. After graduating from Shanghai Jiaotong University, he left for the United States in 1935 to study math and aviation (航空) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the California Institute of Technology.

It may take a sharp mind, as an American author says that the search engine giant (搜索引擎巨人) asks its interviewees to answer difficult question.
William Poundstone believes that he has unlocked the secret of how to succeed in an interview at Google in a new book, Are You Smart Enough to Work at Google?
Poundstone lists several of the brain teasers (脑筋急转弯) that are said to be used by Google interviewers, from “can you swim faster in water or in syrup (糖浆)?” to “how would you weigh your head?”
Poundstone told ABC News that any Google’s questions are open-ended on purpose. The interviewer’s goal is to see how the thinking process of the applicant (应聘者) works, and to test his or her creativity when solving problems. He suggests the applicant should “retell the question” in their own words, as doing so gives them time to think and makes sure that they understand what is being asked.

Florida teen band The Garbage-Men is performing on the stage. The band has five members. They are Jack Berry， Ollie Gray， Harrison Paparatto， Austin Siegel and Evan Tucker. The five teens are making music from waste. The Garbage-Men band’s instruments are made from recycled things. The guitars are boxes. A horn(号) is made from pipes. The band started about two years ago.
