21、It’s easy for consumers to buy food and drinks like a bowl of hot rice and coke online or from neighbourhood shops, but for astronauts such things were impossible in the past.
Members of China’s Shenzhou manned space flight last year, however, were able to enjoy such food, thanks to Joyoung, a Chinese firm. Joyoung created a mobile space kitchen for the astronauts. A drinking water machine, an air heater and a soybean milk maker were all accessible in the kitchen through a smart app. Tang Hongbo, who was a member of the Shenzhou manned spacecraft, said in the news that during his three month trip, he could eat hot food with just half-hour efforts, a contrast to the past when similar attempts required several hours. If we had time, we would also use equipment to eat homemade yogurt. We could also control the equipment in the space kitchen through mobile phone apps,” he said.
In the past, most foods couldn’t be directly heated in a microwave oven in the space. Conduction equipment often caused uneven (不均匀的) heating. An astronaut had to spend as long as four hours to heat some vegetables in the space kitchen. To solve the problem, Joyoung has developed equipment that gives out hot air to heat vegetables in a 360-degree way. That enables astronauts to eat steaming-hot fish-flavoured pork and Gongbao chicken, a spicy, stir-fried Chinese dish.
Besides Joyoung, a group of companies, including Xiaomi Corp and Huawei Technologies, have contributed their technologies to the development of the space station. A vacuum (真空) cleaner enabled haircuts on the spacecraft possible. NOLO VR, a Chinese virtual reality manufacturer, has helped astronauts develop an experimental equipment through which laboratory technicians on the ground can see and experience what astronauts are doing in the space.

22、Crossing your legs is an extremely common habit. While you may find it comfortable to sit with one knee crossed over the other, it might be causing health problems that you are not aware of.
A study published in Blood Pressure Monitoring stated that sitting with your legs crossed can increase your blood pressure. The reason this happens is because the blood in your legs has to work against gravity to be pumped back to your heart, crossing one leg over the other increases resistance, making it even harder for the blood to circulate. You won’t feel any immediate effects, but sitting for long periods of time will hurt you forever.
Crossing your legs can also lead to neck and back pain. Ideally, it’s best for our bodies to sit with our feet planted flat, hip width apart, on the floor, but it’s not easy to maintain perfect posture all day at the office. When you sit with your legs crossed your hips are in a twisted position, which can cause one of your pelvic bones(骨盆) to rotate. Since your pelvic bone supports your neck and spine(脊椎), this can cause pressure on your lower and middle back and neck.
You also might notice that when you sit with your legs crossed for long periods of time your feet and legs get painful or have the feeling of being asleep. This is because when one leg sits on top of the other it causes pressure on the veins(静脉) and nerves in your legs and feet. It can cause numbness and/or temporary paralysis in the legs, ankles, or feet. While the feeling of discomfort may only last a minute or two, repeatedly crossing your legs until they feel numb can cause permanent nerve damage.
So next time you sit down, try to get yourself in the habit of sitting with both of your feet on the floor. Not only will it help your posture and stability, but it will also save your health in the long run.

C.How to develop beneficial habits

23、Wales is the perfect get-away-from-it-all type of destination that allows you to embrace a whole new world, providing relaxation and excitement. These are the best things to do right now.
Climb to the top of Wales
Place: Mount Snowdon, Snowdonia National Park
It is the highest mountain in Wales. Climbing Mount Snowdon takes anywhere between five and seven hours, but the 1,085-metre peak offers the most magnificent views. Heading this way in winter is a no-no but the mountain gets plenty busy through spring, summer and autumn, with more than half a million hikers dragging themselves up to the top every year.
Learn to pronounce the longest town name in the UK
Place: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwymdrobwllllantysiliogogog, Anglesey
It is a small village with a famously tongue-twisting name. Originally called Llanfair Pwllgwyngll, the name of this village was extended in the hope of attracting tourists to its town. Go on a sporting Journey in the capital
Place: Cardiff
There may be more important things when it comes to history and tradition, but it doesn't get much more thrilling than visiting the capital on a major rugby or football occasion. Cardiff is at its best when the dragons are doing battle at the Principality Stadium, and the pubs and bars of the city evolve into an entirely different beast.
Visit the smallest house in Great Britain
Place: Conwy, Gwynedd

24、Two 5-year-old girls, best friends, held hands in Tolson’s office at Van Ness Elementary School in Washington, D.C., one saying she didn’t feel well. Tolson, the school nurse, asked, “How long has your stomach been hurting?” “It just started,” she said.
The other one said her head hurt last night, too. Tolson knew she had a history of fevers, so she checked her temperature and asked her what she ate, whether she went to the bathroom, and whether her head still hurt. It could be that these two little girls that went to Tolson’s office were fine. Or maybe they had mental problems. And that is what school nurses have to judge every day.
School nurses generally get very little training when it comes to mental health. Mazyck said she herself was astounded when she was a school nurse. She saw upset, anxiety, sadness and students who didn’t even know what to do to calm themselves down. She never expected these. So Mazyck went back to school for a graduate degree in counseling (咨询) and now she focuses on getting nurses more training in mental health.
Sharon Stephan, who co-directs the National Center for School Mental Health at the University of Maryland, tells nurses there are two simple questions to ask themselves to see if a child needs help:
Is the student acting or behaving differently than he/she was before?
Is the student somehow far outside the norm (标准) of what you would expect?
The only time everyone pays attention is when there’s a tragedy(悲剧), like a school shooting. However, we actually can catch the students who might harm others and recognize the students who might want to kill themselves.
Mental health is ranked one of the top problems all school nurses deal with, and school nurses need to be better at it.
【1】Why does the author mention the two little girls?
A. To show school nurses do a difficult job.

B. To find school students with mental problems.

D. To improve her skills of dealing with mental health.
【4】What can we learn from the last but one paragraph?
A. There are too many kids in need of help.
B. Something tragic often happens at school.
C. Students’ mental health is always ignored.
D. It’s hard to find students with mental problems.
