21、 People all want to improve the way they study. Many students say that a lack of concentration is their biggest problem. It seriously affects their ability to study, so do their test results. If so, use these tips to help you.
Study Techniques
You should always study in the same place. You shouldn’t sit in a position that you use for another purpose. For example, when you sit on a sofa to study, your brain will think it is time to relax. Don’t watch TV while you are studying. Experts warn that your concentration may be reduced by 50 percent if you attempt to study in this way. Always try to have a white wall in front of you, so there is nothing to distract (make less concentrated) you. Before sitting down to study, gather together all the equipment you need. Apart from your textbooks, pens, pencils and knives, make sure you have a dictionary. If your study desk or table is needed when you are not studying, store all your equipment in a box beside it.
Your eyes will become tired if you try to read a text which is on a flat surface. Position your book at an angle of 30 degrees.
Be realistic and don’t try to complete too much in one study period. Finish one thing before beginning another. If you need a break, get up and walk around for a few minutes, but try not to telephone a friend or have something to eat.
Test-taking Skills
All your hard work will be for nothing if you are too nervous to take your test. Getting plenty of rest is very important. This means do not study all night before your test! It is a better idea to have a long-term study plan. Try to make a timetable for your study which lasts for a few months.
Exercise is a great way to reduce pressure. Doing some form of exercise every day will also improve your concentration. Eat healthy food too.
When you arrive in the examination room, find your seat and sit down. Breathe slowly and deeply. Check the time on the clock during the test, but not too often. Above all, take no notice of everyone else and give the test paper your undivided attention.

To Albert the compass was a miracle he would never forget.
【3】 Born on March 14, 1879, Albert hadn’t looked like other babies. As she cradled her new-son in her arms, Pauline Einstein thought the back of his head looked strange. Was something wrong with Albert? Although the doctor told Pauline everything was fine, several weeks passed before the shape of Albert’s head began to look right to her. When Albert was one, his family moved to Munich, where his sister, Maja, was born a year later. 【4】 Where were the baby’s wheels? The disappointed two-year-old wanted to know. Albert had expected a baby sister to be something like a toy, and most of his toys had wheels.
At an age when many children have lots to say, Albert seemed strangely backward. The nine-year-old still had trouble putting his thoughts into words. But Albert was a good listener and a good thinker. When he went hiking with his parents and Maja, he thought about his father’s compass and what it had revealed to him. 23、Derived from the words ‘glamorous’(迷人的) and ‘camping’, glamping is an outdoor escape that combines the closeness to nature associated with camping with the luxury and convenience of proper self-provided accommodation. Though associated with luxury, glamping varies greatly. Some locations may offer every item you could ever need, along with special features like hot tubs, saunas, and more, while other glamping options will be limited to far more fundamental accommodation.
Whatever the type of accommodation, glamping should have a genuine connection to the outdoors, and give guests the chance not only to enjoy comforts but also to run wild, climb trees, splash in rivers,star-gaze and have the sort of experiences that we associate with camping. Glamping has a massive appeal to almost every type of traveler. It gives you the chance to really immerse yourself in a location and step directly from your door into your surroundings.
