24、 I love visiting new cities and seeing all of their famous tourist places. Not long ago, I visited the German city of Leipzig. Leipzig is quite a big city, and there' s so much to do and see. These are the top three places I visited in the city.
The Museum of Fine Arts
Sometimes art museums can be a little bit boring but I really enjoyed visiting Leipzig' s Museum of Fine Arts. Set up in 1848,. the museum has a collection of about 4, 600 paintings (from the Late, Middle Ages to modern day). I love learning about different artists from across the ages.
The St. Nicholas Church
This is a church (教堂) with a very interesting past. In the past it was a popular place for famous musicians and the sound there was the best in the city. I had heard a lot about this church, so it was amazing to finally visit it in person. Inside, there are beautiful paintings on the wall and it is very peaceful.
Leipzig Zoo
I think Leipzig has one of the best zoos in the world Leipzig Zoo! The zoo is famous for its large building projects such as Gondwanaland world' s second largest indoor rainforest. As you walk in Gondwanaland, it feels like you're going through the rainforest of Africa, Asia and South America.
The best part of Leipzig Zoo is the safari (游猎) area. There's a real river and you can travel down it on a boat. It is so cool!

25、 One of the most often asked and most controversially (有争议的) answered question is “What should I do when I meet a blind person?” A quick Google search will turn up plenty of answers, which are quite different from each other. So, obviously, there is no general agreement on what to do when you meet a blind person.
There are no special rules or dos and don’ts that can deal with this situation. There is only one principle (原则): Blind people are nothing more or less than people who happen to be blind. As such, it is our own job to take care of ourselves, and we are grateful to no one else for special care or leadership.
The best thing to do is nothing. Don’t suppose you know what we need. If we do need something, we’ll politely let you know.
Forget everything you’ve heard about the blind even if you consider yourself to be an expert. Blind people have plenty to say about “experts”. Especially, forget anything you’ve heard or read about “Ten Things to Do if You Meet a Blind Person”. The advice will probably just cause more embarrassment (尴尬). More of it is made up by sighted people anyway and doesn’t necessarily stand for the blind’s view.

I’m terrible at getting myself organized! But lately I’ve started keeping a small study diary. I write down everything I need to do and when it needs to be done by. Comments Hanna Good question, Amy. I always spend about five minutes at the end of the day tidying up the desktop on my computer. I make a backup of important documents. I delete things I don’t need anymore and put everything into the correct folder. Gloria The most important thing is to start studying a few weeks before the exams and not leave it until the night before! That’s just common sense, I think. Lou Hi, Amy. My tip is to have a big notice board in your bedroom, divided into different sections. I’ve got one. It’s a whiteboard. I’ve got a section for each school subject and another one for other stuff. I use pens to write reminders and I make sure I look at it every day. The best part is when I remove something from the board! |
