24、Teaching is one of the most rewarding(有回报的)jobs. It is also one of the most stressful. If you want to be a teacher, you should have a passion(激情) for young people. If you are thinking about going into teaching for any other reason than this, you need to find another job.
Teaching is difficult. Students can be difficult. Parents can be difficult. If you do not have a passion for the young people that you teach, you will burn out quickly. Passion is what keeps an excellent teacher going. When students have trouble understanding what is taught, it is what drives him to spend long hours trying to think out how to help them. If you do not have enough passion for your students, you might last a year or two, but not long. Passion is a must-have quality for every good teacher.
Teaching can be rewarding, but you shouldn’t expect that reward to come easily. Teachers who search out better and new methods are the ones who will make it. A good teacher needs to be able to work with everyone. All teachers face stress. It is important to be able to deal with everything that is thrown at you when you walk through your classroom doors. There are so many chances for stress within a classroom that an excellent teacher has to be able to bring it in control. If you cannot deal with stress quite well, then teaching may not be the right job for you.

26、Good morning, everyone. Today I’m going to share with you about my favorite festival—Chinese New Year.
Of all the festivals in Malaysia, I like Chinese New Year most. Chinese New Year falls on the first day of the first lunar (农历的) month. The celebrations last 15 days, with fireworks, dragon and lion dances, family and friends gathering, lantern festivals, and of course lots of great food! You can see happy faces and big celebrations everywhere.
Before the start of the festival, Chinese people clean their houses to sweep away any bad luck. Then, on New Year’s Eve, all brushes are put away so that good luck cannot be swept away. People put up Spring festival couplets and hang red lanterns.
Another important tradition of Chinese New Year is the red packet—a small red envelope (信封) with some money inside. After collecting all my red packets, I can buy something I like. I usually use the money to buy some books and snacks.
Chinese New Year is a busy time for everyone in my family. We are busy having fun with family members and friends. “Kung Hei Fat Choi” and words of happiness and luck are everywhere. For me, red packets and special cakes are what I should not miss during this festival.
After the big dinner on New Year’s Eve, my parents will take me to walk along the road and celebrate the New Year with fireworks and the traditional lion and dragon dance performances.
In short, I like Chinese New Year better than any other festival. It gives me more pleasure than I can imagine.

27、Nowadays, many children spend hours a day looking at computer screens or other digital (数码的) products. Some eye care doctors say all the screen time has caused more children to have what they call computer vision syndrome (视力综合症).
Nathan Warford is an optometrist in the US. He says he has seen more children having eye problems. “More children come into my office because their parents have noticed that they have headaches (头疼)or red eyes, or because their degree of short-sightedness appears to be increasing (增加)very fast and they’re worried,” he said.
Dr. Warford says part of the problem is that even if their eyes start to feel uncomfortable or they start to get a headache, some children don’t tell their parents, because they don’t want their games or the computer to be taken away. Another part of the problem is that people blink (眨眼睛) less often when they look at the screen.A person who uses a computer or a digital product blinks about a third as much as we normally(正常地) do in everyday life.
