One day, while our cab (出租马车) was waiting outside a park, a dirty old cab drove up beside us. The horse was an old chestnut (栗色马). Suddenly she looked at me and said, “Black Beauty, is that you?”
It was Ginger! But how different she was! She was thin, and tired from too much hard work. She looked miserable (悲惨的) and she had a bad cough. She told me her sad story.
