Here are some things you can do that might make those bad moods a bit easier to deal with.
__________【1】Although not every teen experiences mood changes to the same degree, they are common.
__________【2】 Friends can help each other by realizing that they're not alone in their feelings. Talking to parents is important, too. Parents can share their own experiences dealing with bad moods. Teachers are often good resources and a doctor can help to answer questions about development.
___________【3】 Though it can be hard to find enough time, getting enough rest is very important. Being tired can lead to more sadness.
___________【4】Taking part in some kinds of activities, like building something out of wood, or starting an art or music piece. Writing can help you organize and express your thoughts and feelings. 【5】 Can you come up with another way to make yourself in a good mood?(不少于5个单词)
24、 What’s going to happen in the future? Will robots control our planet? Will computers become smarter than us? Not likely. But here are some things that scientists say are most likely to happen in 10—30 years from now, according to the BBC.
Bionic(仿生的)eyes
They are no longer something only in a science fiction movie. People who are blind may have a chance to see things clearly—by wearing bionic eyes.
A blind eye can no longer sense light, but a bionic eye can use a camera to “see” the environment and send information to the mind. Now the bionic eye only allows patients to see lights and unclear shapes. A bionic eye with very clear pictures could be just in a few years away.
Digital money
We used to pay with cash for everything we bought. Now when we use a Wechat Pay or Alipay to shop, money is spent without us seeing it. That means we are already using digital money. People only need to take a mobile phone wherever they go. Using these ways is much easier than searching our pockets for change. It is also safer than carrying a lot of cash.
It’s reported that people in Sweden completely stopped using cash last year, and the US might be next.
Self—driving cars
Unlike a human driver, a self—driving car won’t be influenced by a phone call, the radio or something outside the window. Sensors(探测器)and cameras on the car would allow it to follow the rules of the road and keep a safe space from other cars. This would greatly make the number of road accidents smaller. You could even take a rest while the car drives itself. In the future, driverless cars would be widely accepted.
【1】Bionic eyes send information to the ________.
A.mind
B.camera
C.computer
D.heart
【2】From the report, we can learn some information about ________.
A.industry and farming
B.traffic and journey
C.science and technology
D.culture and art
【3】This passage tells us that ________.
A.bionic eyes only appear in the science fiction films
B.the blind wearing bionic eyes may see clearly in the future
C.self-driving cars will be influenced by something outside
D.there will be no accident at all if self-driving cars are used
25、You can be proud of yourselves, even if you can only make one or two of these green changes. The goal here is to limit carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which are closely connected to the big problem of global-warming (全球变暖).
WAY 1: Bring your own cup to Starbucks. You’ll get a 10-cent discount, and it’s one less paper cup to end up in a dustbin. The store won’t create more waste when they throw away a cup.
WAY 2: Turn off your computer. When in standby mode, your PC is still using energy. Turning off a monitor (显示器) for 40 hours a week may only save $ 5 a month, but it reduces CO2 by 750 pounds.
WAY 3: Reuse plastic bags. Instead of throwing away 100 billion plastic bags a year, try and get a second, third, or tenth use out of them. Better yet, next time you shop, try a reusable bag. The amount of oil it would take to make just 14 plastic bags would run your car for one mile.
WAY 4: Use recycled paper in the bathroom. Most of the toilet paper we use is made from trees found in forests. If every family replaced(替换)one roll of toilet paper with a recycled one, 424,000 trees would still be standing.
WAY 5: Plant a tree. Adding green to your garden is beautiful and earth-pleasing. Just one tree will help make cleaner air and save the environment from 5, 000 pounds of hot carbon dioxide each year.
【1】How many ways are mentioned(提及) in the passage?
A. Two. B. Three. C. Four. D. Five.
【2】What will happen if our PC is turned off when it isn’t in use?
A. It will help to save a large amount of money.

D. It will be like planting 1.7 million acres of new trees.

A. Ways 3 & 4. B. Ways 2 & 3.
C. Ways 3 & 5. D. Ways 2 & 4.
【4】How do these ways do good to our environment?

B. They all cut down the number of the use of paper.

27、 Grandpa moved in with us after Grandma passed away when I was 9. He came to Canada from China. I never spoke much Mandarin (普通话). Grandpa didn’t speak much English, but it didn’t matter.
One way we bonded was over a game of Monopoly (《大富翁》). He didn’t really understand the rules. But I don’t think it mattered. We always had a great time and a better relationship when we played the game.
I think of Grandpa when I play the trading card game Yu-Gi-Oh with my sons. I can’t keep track of all the spells and effects involved in this game. Truthfully, I don’t care if I win or lose these games. What matters is spending time with my children and making an effort to understand their interests.
I often think about my kids at how excitedly they explain rules and how they go easy on their old man. They’re growing up fast. I imagine it’s like how Grandpa felt when he played Monopoly with us.
Grandpa went for regular walks. He also spent his days sitting on the couch(长沙发)staring out the window and singing quietly. I often thought he was bored. But as I age, I find peace in taking moments to stare out a window. It is really great. Maybe I got that from him.
One of my biggest regrets is not spending more time with Grandpa. The night he passed away was the day before his 80th birthday. I felt very sad.
What I learned from my grandfather was to enjoy simple pleasures in life. Such as seeing the beauty in the colors of the rainbow, seeing a single leaf fall from a tree and playing Yu-Gi-Oh with my sons.
【1】What happened to the author and his grandfather during their game?

【3】What is the author thinking when he stares out a window?
A.How bored his father was at that time.
B.How much he misses his grandfather.
C.How difficult it is to be good parents.
D.How wonderful it is to feel peace at heart.
【4】According to the passage, which of the following statement is right?
A.The author can communicate well with his grandfather in English
B.The author can’t play Yu-Gi-Oh with his sons because he can’t keep track of all the spells and effects involved in this game
C.The author understand his grandfather better when he grows older.
D.The author spent a lot of time walking and sitting on the couch with his grandfather.
【5】What is the writer’s main purpose in writing this story?
A.To tell readers his grandfather’s life stories.
B.To show the influence that families have on kids.
C.To encourage readers to spend more time with families.
D.To share how his grandfather influenced him in some way.
