  • 1、阅读下面的短文,然后将划线部分的句子译成汉语或英语。

I am a middle school student. My name is Lucy. I have many rules at home. For example, I have to stay at home on school nights and do my homework. 1. I can’t watch TV until I finish my homework. I can’t go to my friends’ homes to study with them. My mother says we will talk instead of doing homework, but I don’t think so. Yes, sometimes we talk, but we mainly study. We can discuss when we have some problems. We can learn a lot that way.

    2. 在周末,我不得不早起。After getting up, I have to make the bed, clean my bedroom. But I think I should be allowed to get up late on weekends. 3. My parents always ask me to get up to read English at six o’clock. They say that is good for my English study. I know this. But I am very tired on weekdays. We have too much work to do at school. We all want to have a good rest on weekends. I think we should be allowed to get up at eight in the morning. If we have enough sleep, we will feel energetic (精力充沛的) and it’s also good for our study.

    4. 我的父母亲不允许我帮他们做家务。They often say if I am good at my schoolwork, everything is OK. I don’t think so. Although good grades are important, We should be allowed to decide our own things. It’s helpful in our development.

North China has suffered serious smog(雾霾)recently, especially in big cities like Beijing. What are the reasons for the problem? One of the reasons is the car emission(汽车尾气排放). With more and more cars on the road, there’s no doubt that the climate(气候)is becoming more and more terrible.

As we know, more and more people like driving in China. On one hand, some people think that they should have a car when they have enough money, and then it’s easy to go out and they can feel comfortable. On the other hand, a growing number of people hope to use their cars to show off(炫耀). What’s more, years of research has show that one of other reasons for the traffic problem is the driving habit. For example, many young people enjoy driving very fast, so they can feel excited. Most of them only care about the speed rules.

Many governments are working at how to make the traffic better. In my opinion, the governments should educate those people who have cars or plan to buy cars. The governments must make them know that the climate is very serious and set up a much more perfect traffic control system to solve the traffic pressure.

【1】Where has suffered serious smog these days in China?

    A.in the north of China

    B.in the south of China

    C.in the northeast of China

2Why is traffic jam getting more and more serious?

A.Because there are not enough ways of transportation.

B.Because many governments are working at how to make the traffic better.

C.Because there are more and more cars on the roads.

3Which of the following is NOT true?

A.The reason for the traffic jam is that people have too much work.

B.Some people think that they should have a car when they have enough money, and then it’s easy to go out and they feel comfortable.

C.The reason for the traffic jam is that some people want to show off.

4What should the governments do to make the traffic better?

A.They should educate those people who are young.

B.They should set up a much more perfect traffic system.

C.They shouldn’t allow people to buy so many cars.

5What does the passage mainly talk about?

A.Reasons why people want to buy cars.

    B.How drivers should drive.

C.The traffic jam, reasons for it and solutions.

  • 26、① I love snakes. My mum does not. Lots of people who are afraid of snakes have never even seen one. So where does the fear come from?

② According to scientists’ experiments, it seems that we’ve evolved (进化) this way—faster to see snakes and faster to learn to fear them.

③ People may not be born afraid of snakes, but we are born able to see them quickly. In tests with pictures, people picked out snakes faster than they could find flowers, birds, and rabbits. It wasn’t just snakes, though. People also found spiders (蜘蛛) and angry faces faster than “safe” things like flowers. It seems like we find things that might be threatening to us faster than things that aren’t.

④ People also learn to fear snakes faster than many other things. After all, if we had to be bitten by a snake to learn that it’s dangerous, we might learn our lesson too late. So it’s important for us to fear snakes. And it matters more to nature. People protect animals they like, not animals they fear. Snakes may not be as cute as cats, but they’re just as important to the environment. If we don’t fear snakes, we may choose to kill instead of avoiding them. Our fears help snakes to live safely.

⑤ How can we deal with our fears to give snakes a chance? Scientists did a research recently where students went on a field trip. Guides helped them find and catch snakes in the forest. Everyone can safely touch and hold a snake. It showed that snakes weren’t so bad when you got to know them. Most people who were afraid of snakes before the field trip aren’t afraid now. In fact, snakes even became some students’ favourite animals. Maybe I should take my mum on the next field trip.

    根据语篇内容,选择最佳选项。

【1】What does the underlined word “threatening” probably mean in Paragraph③?

    A.Natural.

    B.Colourful.

    A.What makes people fear snakes.

B.Why it is important to fear snakes.

C.How to stop snakes from hurting people.

【3】How can people probably accept snakes according to the passage?

    A.By getting to know snakes.

B.By telling the fears of snakes to others.

C.By choosing snakes as their favourite animals.

【4】Which can be inferred (推断) from this passage?

A.The fears of snakes protect people in a way.

B.Everyone will like snakes after joining in a field trip.

C.Most people who fear snakes were hurt by snakes before.

【5】Why does the writer write this passage?

A.To thank scientists for their effort in the study of snakes.

B.To teach people some useful ways to get on well with snakes.

C.To encourage people to face their fears of snakes correctly.

  • 27、Chinese noodles have a long history. They were first mentioned in the Eastern Han Dynasty, over l,900 years ago. At that time, noodles were called “cakes”. They were “cakes” that were boiled in water.

Yi Noodles are made in both southern and northern China, but Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces are the most famous for making Yi Noodles. Yi Noodles can be served dry or with soup.
