24、 (From Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, Feb. 13) Some white robots were seen delivering(传送) food at a park in Nanshan District. Thirty Candles have been put into use. They can provide 500 to 1,000 meals each day with at least 60 meals at a time. The robots will be disinfected(消毒) six times a day.
Sunnys work outdoors and are able to avoid running into walkers, bikes and other things. After arriving at the place, a Sunny will give food boxes to a Candle for indoor delivery.

25、 Joe moved to Canada with his family at the age of 41. There were many stressful days for them in the beginning. Since Joe had no job, the savings(存款) they brought with them were diminishing rapidly.
One day, Joe went out to look for a job. As he walked, he saw many things on the street that people threw away. Joe could not believe his eyes. “Why would people throw away such things?” he asked himself. Joe saw a “new” television and decided to take it home to see what the problem was.
Since he was 12 years old, Joe’s main hobby has been electronics(电子产品). As a teenage boy, he began to repair radios, TVs and so on.
Joe brought the television home and turned it on. There were pictures on the screen, but there was no sound. He opened the back cover. Before long, Joe found the problem. The loudspeaker(扬声器) was broken. He went out again. Among the garbage on the street, he found a toy piano. He carried the piano home. Luckily its loudspeaker worked. Fifteen minutes later, Joe had a TV with both pictures and sound.
Joe began to question people about why they were throwing away electronics. The answer was the same from everyone: getting them repaired was too expensive. People would rather(宁愿) buy new products.

26、In the past, Chinese buyers liked foreign brands better, thinking that products made by American or European companies are of higher quality than Chinese ones. But now that’s no longer the case.
“Chinese people born before 1985 generally think that foreign brands are better than Chinese ones, billionaire William Li told Business Insider during a recent interview on CCTV 9. But for those who were born after 1985, it is a different picture.
“When I first went to the United Kingdom in 1997, I thought that the difference between China and Europe was quite big, Li said. “But for those born in the 1990s, when they visit Europe or the US, they do not think there is a big difference.”
The change in thinking among Chinese buyers is showing up in many markets in China where western companies controlled before. A study by Credit Suisse which came out in March found that more and more young Chinese buyers are showing a home brand bias.
More than 90% of young Chinese buyers would prefer to buy home brands, according to the study. At the same time, home companies producing food, drinks, or personal care products raised their share(份额) of the market by 33% over the last ten years to nearly 70%.
“Chinese buyers, especially the younger ones, don’t just believe that foreign brands are better. Right now, Chinese buyers think China is good and ‘Made in China’ is not bad at all, Charlie Chen, head of China buyer research at Credit Suisse, told South China Morning Post in March.
The Chinese smartphone market is controlled by home companies Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi. Apple is the only foreign brand in the top five, but it has lost large ground to the home brands in recent years. Its market share is believed to go down to 37% from a 2015 high of 54%.
