China Turns to Internet for Food During the-Novel Coronavirus Fears
During the virus outbreak(爆发)in China, Wang Feng had to stay at home. But thanks to the e-commerce giant JD.com(电商巨头,京东), she can keep her kitchen full of food. More and more people has chosen to buy food online since China's government told the public to stay home to control the spread of the virus.

The government has told anyone who can work from home to stay there. Some cities have allowed only one member of a family out each day. That creates a ready market for online entertainment and shopping.
“I can't go out and can't go to work,” said one of Wang's neighbors, Chen Guang who was picking up a box of vegetables from the sidewalk shelves under a sign that said, “Contactlesse Distribution(分配)Point.”
JD says over the past month, its drivers delivered(运送)71,500 tons of rice, flour and other grains-20times more than the same period last year, 27 million liters(公升)of cooking oil and 50,000 tons of meat, eggs, vegetables and other fresh products.

Saturday , March 3rd We have arrived in the hot, wet city of Bangkok. This is our first trip to Thailand. All the different smells make us want to try the food. 26、 The winner of the fifth season of the China Central Television's Chinese Poetry Conference (中国诗词大会) was shown on Feb 9. Peng Min, who has fallen at the final hurdle twice before, finally won the crown (王冠) for himself.
The competitors vary in age, from teenagers to adults. Peng, 36, an associate senior editor (副主编) of a poetry magazine, is one of the most familiar (熟悉的) faces of the show. He can recite around 1,000 poems.

The season five final came down to Peng and 11-year-old Han Yaxuan-again he was facing a much younger rival. This time, though, there was to be no mistake and victory was finally his.
“I want to tell people who have a similar experience that, even though you go through all kinds of misfortune (不幸的) or difficulties, as long as you are brave enough to look up, there will always be a light in the sky to guide you out of the darkness,” Peng said in his speech. “Thousands of years later, all of our shadows will vanish, only the beauty of poems will last.”

The world has growing about a global food shortage. Right now, there are still 870 million hungry people in the world, according to a survey of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization. Children can’t this, either. Around fifteen million children die of hungry each year.
What’s causing food shortages? There are several .

How can we help with food shortages? The easiest way is to on food waste.
Next time before throwing away the food on your plate, just think work has been done to make it. By buying less, we waste less. This takes the pressure off producing so much food. And it helps to solve the problem of food shortage.
You can also ask your schoolmates to join you.
In the early 2016, staff workers from the canteens of Xiamen No.1 High School put up short anti-waste slogans (标语) in dining rooms “Think Before You Waste”. Guess what happened? Students wasted fifteen percent food after that!
Let’s take action! We don’t need a huge activity to make a difference.
