For 30 years Cleary answered her fan mails herself. Dear Mr. Henshaw was inspired by two letters asking her to write a book about a boy whose parents are divorced. The novel, constructed as a series of letters between a lonely sixth-grader and his favorite writer, won the Newbery Medal, the top prize for children’s literature. 29、 Certainly, a well-rounded education is the foundation of our growth. Being a journalist in the real world looks very different from writing stories.
