Making films can no longer be completed only by adults. A group of primary school students in Southwest China’s Guizhou Province recently proved it. 1. The 90-minute film was made by some fourth and fifth graders. Combining science fiction, family education, school life, drug control and comedy, they made the film in a creative and interesting way.
According to the 9-year-old director Chenyan Zhirou, she began creating the story during her winter vacation in 2018, and finished writing it before this summer vacation. 2. She then began choosing actors and having interviews for the film. After further preparation, her camera started rolling.
From the early stages of costurme preparation and makeup to later directing and camera shooting, all processes were arranged in perfect order. 3. 整个过程中,每个小学生都尽全力在做。
4.学生们花了五周的时间制作这部电影. It included two weeks of shooting and three weeks of post-production, during which time every shot and every piece of music was carefully selected and designed.
5.There were many technical problems that they could not solve on their own, but they didn’t ask adults for help. They believed it could only be considered their own film without any adults’ help.
As for why they made this film, the students said they hoped to let more teachers and parents see what younger generations can do.

Terrafugia Inc. said that its new flying car has completed its first flight, bringing the company closer to its goal of selling the flying car next year. The flying car named the Transition has two seats, four wheels and wings that can be folded, so it can be driven like a car. The Transition, which flew at 1,400 feet for eight minutes last month, can reach about 70 miles every hour on the road and 115 miles in the air. It burns around 23 gallons (加仑) of gas every hour in the air.
_____________________ Around 500 people have already prepaid (预付) $10,000 for getting a Transition. It’s reported that more and more people would like to have one, after Terrafugia introduces the Transition to the public at the New York Auto Show. But it may be impossible to show up on too many driveways. It’s expected to cost $ 279,000 each. And it won’t help if you’re in a heavy traffic. The car needs a runway.
Inventors have been trying to make flying cars since the 1930s. According to Robert Mann, an airline scientist, Terrafugia has come closer than anyone to making the car really fly in the sky.
The government has already agreed the company to use special materials to make it easier for the car to fly. The Transition is now going through tests to make sure it is safe.
Terrafugia says an owner would need to pass a test and complete 20 hours of flying time to be able to fly the Transition, the airline pilots would find it easy to control the car.

26、 What will you do if you come across an English word or phrase you don't know? You'd probably look it up in the dictionary, wouldn't you? This, however, was not the case. Although English has a history of over 2,500 years, the first English dictionary didn't appear until the 17th century.
During the 16th century, Europe saw rich developments in science, medicine and arts. People had to "invent" words to express new ideas. Many new English words were borrowed from foreign language. There was also a renewed interest in ancient languages. Some new English words had roots(根)in languages like Latin and Hebrew.
The general public, however, had difficulty understanding these new words. At that time few girls would go to school. Only rich parents were able to afford professional teachers. Robert Cawdrey, an English schoolteacher, wanted to help. In 1604, he published A Table Alphabetical in London. Cawdrey hoped his dictionary would be able to help more people learn to read and write properly.
But Cawdrey's dictionary was not very dependable. The fist edition had only 120 pages. There were only 2,543 words in it. As Cawdrey's focus was on words "hard for the general public," many common words were not included. And for many words, the explanations(解释)were unclear. Take "loaf" as an example. It explained, "A piece of bread." While in today's dictionary, it reads, "A shaped mass of baked bread that is usually sliced before eating." For some words, Cawdrey used only one word to explain each of them. This made A Table Alphabetical more like a book of synonyms(同义词)than a real dictionary. While readers could check the spelling of some words using the book, they had no way of finding out what these words actually meant.
Although Cawdrey's dictionary had many problems, it was quite popular. As the saying goes, ________." In the year of 1604, people finally had something to help them read more easily!
【1】According to the article, the first English dictionary came out in ________.
A.the early 16th century B.the late 16th century
C.the early 17th century D.the late 17th century
【2】Robert Cawdrey published A Table Alphabetical in order to ________.
A.help more girls to be able to go to school
B.help people to understand the new English words
C.help his own students to read and write words properly
D.help people to become interested in learning new things
【3】Paragraph 4 is mainly about the ________ of Cawdrey's dictionary.
A.look B.history C.popularity D.disadvantage
【4】Which of the following is the most suitable(适合的)in the blank in the last paragraph?
A.Practice makes perfect. B.Where there's life, there's hope.
C.It's better to give than to receive. D.Half a loaf is better than no bread.
27、I tend to go slowly when I drive in the mountains of my home, because the forest scenery is beautiful. This morning I was driving slower than usual because an early March snow had turned the roads slippery (滑的). Suddenly, I saw a beautiful buck deer standing in the middle of the road. I came to a full stop and for a few seconds. We just stared at each other. His eyes seemed wise and he calmed down soon. Finally, he nodded his head at me. I nodded in return and gestured for him to go on. He then jumped across the road, up the hill, and back into the woods. I drove on smiling at the magic of this moment and thanked that I had been going slowly enough not to hit this beautiful creature.
Most of us rush through this life not knowing what we are missing. We seldom get to enjoy what each day brings us. Wouldn’t it be better to go slowly through our days here? Life is meant to be savored. Moments are meant to be cherished. Days are meant to be lived in love and joy but not flown through at a breakneck speed.
The next time you find yourself going too fast, slow down. Take the time to watch the sunrise over the horizon and fill the world with light. Take the time to smile, laugh, and sing. Take the time to read and relax. Take the time to enjoy what each day brings us. If you do, your life will be so much better and more beautiful. And you might even end up not hitting a deer on your way.
【1】Why did the writer drive slower than usual this morning?
A.To enjoy the forest scenery.
B.To protect the deer on the road.
C.To watch the wild animals around.
