  • 25、Years ago, if a teenager had some problems in his life, he might write them in his diary. Now he might get on the Internet and write them in his blog(博客), a diary and a blog are almost the same. Then, what makes a blog different from a diary?

The biggest difference is that a blog is much more public than a diary. Anyone can read what you write in your blog. Usually a teenager likes hiding his diary book and treats it as a secret. If you are not satisfied with a friend and write something bad about him in your diary, he will never know it. However, if you do this on the Internet, that friend may read your blog and get angry. So we have to be careful of what we write.

A blog has good points, of course. People choose to write in blogs. They know that their friends will read what they write. If you feel sad one day and write in your diary, no one will know about it. If you write the same words in your blog, your friends may quickly writer back to comfort you and offer their help. Blogs help people know what their friends are doing.

Though it’s a good way to write blogs about everyday life, I still prefer my old diary.

【1】Now when a teenager has some problems in his life, he might________.

  • 26、We’ve been told by parents and teachers since we were kids that “It’s good to share.” Taking it as an object of study, psychologists (心理学家) have published various papers stating that the behaviour of sharing is beneficial to setting up positive emotional connecting.

Today, the action of sharing takes on more meaning. We are using technology to reduce the money that we spend on goods and services, or to make money out of those that we don’t use all the time. These differ from car shares to home shares, and even to pet shares. It is creating new ways of thinking and is providing services to people when and where they want them.

This sharing economy (经济) is an answer to our increasing need for quality goods and services at competitive prices, all delivered at a click. Whether it’s an online shop where we can get designer clothes at rock-bottom prices (租) out our flats for a couple of days, it’s out there. Whether we’re a lender or a borrower; everyone makes or saves money. We also make connections and sometimes even make new friends. What’s more, sharing encourages us to reuse things, there by cutting down on waste.

But the sharing economy is not without its problems as it’s developing faster than ongoing supervision. Some companies are taking unfair advantage of this situation to increase their share of the market. In addition, the sharing economy is open to misuse of trust. Some people have experienced loss of things while renting out their homes, and others have found themselves being stolen or attacked while sharing rides. Finally, the heart of the sharing economy, is not yet safe. Sharing websites collect personal information about almost every part of our lives, locations, bank information, the technology to prevent such information from being stolen still needs improvement, and the awareness of possible risks is low among both service providers and users.

Even though, what is in no doubt is that the sharing economy is increasingly related to our daily lives. It is growing at such a speed that we can only imagine what it will include in the future. What will we be sharing next? Who will be sharing and how? And the most interesting question of all—what type of society will all this sharing take us to?

【1】What can we learn from the passage?

A.Online shops are the products of sharing economy.

B.Both service providers and users think highly of risks.

C.Sharing economy encourages lending and borrowing less.

D.Sharing economy offers good services with reasonable prices.

【2】The words “ongoing supervision” in Paragraph 4 are closest in meaning to ________.

    A.final judgement

    B.fair treatment

    C.continuous management

    D.powerful argument

【3】The writer probably agrees that ________.

A.there are more possible risks of sharing than benefits

B.sharing economy will develop widely in different fields

C.it will be a popular way to make friends through sharing

D.sharing economy will bring positive emotional connecting

【4】Which of the following would be the best title for the passage?

    B.What’s Mine Is Yours

C.The History and the Future of Sharing

D.The More You Share, the More You Get

  • 27、Eating food is enjoyable, but cooking can be challenging. For those who don’t have basic cooking skills, or are too busy working or traveling, one thing can save them—instant noodles.

This year marks the 63rd anniversary of the invention of instant noodles. Ever since they were created by Japanese businessman Momofuku Ando in 1958, instant noodles have been popular around the world. In China, the product has almost become a necessity for those who travel by train.

There are some fun facts about instant noodles: The total length of the noodles in one package is 51 meters. The first instant noodles were considered a luxury(奢侈的)product. When they first came to Japanese supermarkets in 1958, they were 6 times the cost of fresh undone noodles. Japanese people even voted instant noodles as one of their best inventions of the 20th century.

For instant noodles, as well as many other “instant” foods, convenience is the key selling point. They are supposed to make our lives easier.

_______________.For example, in wars, soldiers eat compressed biscuits and canned meat because they don’t need to cook these foods. And in the 1960s, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables became popular in the US. This is because more women started working and had no time to cook.

In recent years, however, online meal-ordering services have brought challenge to instant foods. Uber Eats is a popular app of this kind in the United States. In China, we have Dianping and Meituan. These services offer not only convenience, but also more choices and tastier food. According to the World Instant Noodle Association, instant noodle sales dropped by 17 percent in China as of 2016.

This might show that Chinese people are now more interested in having higher-quality diets and not just simply filling their bellies, experts say.

    B.The US.

    A.Uber Eats.

    B.Ele.me.

【3】Which sentence can be put in the beginning of the fifth paragraph?

A.Food trend often reflect changes in society.

B.Different country has different kinds of instant food.

C.The development of instant food changes the society.

D.More and more people were interested in instant noodles.

【4】What can we infer from the passage?

A.Everyone who travels by train takes instant noodles in China.

B.In 2016,only 17% of Chinese people bought instant noodles.

C.Many American women didn’t like cooking food in the 1960s.
