Based on an analysis of the data from 58 studies related to screen time and various measures of academic achievement, it should be noted that some individual studies do find a connection between total screen time and academics. Too much screen time produces several problems, including academics, sleep, socialization as well as physical and mental health.
The findings of the new study lend support to the need to look at not only how much time teens spend on the use of digital devices but what positive and negative effects various devices may have on academic achievement.
