26、Few people don’t know how important it is to stretch (拉伸伸展) before a workout session since it helps in stimulating your movements, warming up your body, and preparing for the exercise. But most people are extremely ignorant of the post-exercise stretching.【1】Actually, the benefits of stretching after exercise are plentiful.
Flexibility is improved.
When you hold static and deep stretch poses at the end of your workout routine, you will have more access to the length in various parts of your body.【2】.This is the biggest advantage of stretching after workout.
Muscle tension is lowered.
Have you ever wondered why your muscles become sore (酸痛的) after a workout routine? Well, that is because your body produces lactic acid.【3】.Thanks to stretching, oxygen is distributed throughout your body and muscles, which can reduce lactic acid production and buildup.
Injuries are avoided.
After an intense workout, with tightened muscles, your body is more likely to suffer tearing of muscle tissues. However, during stretching, the muscles are lengthened, which means the risk is way less.【4】. So save your body from being an easy target for injuries.
While stretching, don’t push yourself too hard. Remember, this is meant to relax you, not to cause additional pressure on you. You may be tempted to rest immediately after a workout session. But trust us: the post-exercise stretching is of critical importance.【5】. But in due time, you will.

28、Life doesn’t always turn out the way we’d like. When situations take an unfavorable turn, we become upset, frustrated, or angry. When others don’t agree with us, or act in a manner we find disturbing, anger is a typical response. With the exception of a few extreme circumstances» an angry reaction rarely improves the situation or helps us change our mind. Thoughtful consideration of what feelings and reaction are most helpful actually restores our real power, so consider the following alternatives to anger.
Compassion, consisting of both understanding and empathy, can be a perfect solution to anger. Each person has a right to live life according to their beliefs, dreams, needs, etc. If someone is acting improperly or not living up to our ideals, we need to remove the “shoulds” and remind ourselves that it is a necessary part of their life’s journey. Choosing this alternative response softens one’s heart and prevents anger from arising.
Humor is another powerful tool for lessening anger. We take life and personal offense far too seriously. After all, their behavior is a reflection of their internal environment and has nothing at all to do with us and it is in reality relatively unimportant. Humor puts any serious situation into its proper places. It acts as a protective barrier to emotional pain as we recognize that what is happening has nothing at all to do with us.
So when others behave badly, forgive them for their bad behaviors rather than judge them in your heart. When life hands us the exact opposite of what we requested, make light of it, After all, this life is only temporary so why get so bent out of shape when it isn’t in line with your ideals? Rain on your wedding day? Break oat the umbrellas and boots and dance in the puddles!

A.Anger makes a person more powerful.
B.All the people get annoyed easily.

29、As two of the oldest civilizations in the world, China and Egypt are different in culture and language. But what will happen when these two civilizations meet? For many people, it’s unimaginable. But that’s the case in the vlogs of Mohamed Jiahad Mohamed Moustafa, an Egyptian student at Communication University of China.
As a part-time vlogger, Mohamed often shares his experience of Chinese culture on the social media platform Facebook. In one video, for example, Mohamed performs kung fu in Chinese traditional costumes and explains its culture in Chinese. Some other videos show him reading Chinese classic poems and sharing his pronunciation skills, which are quite welcomed among his 20,000 followers.
“Many of my followers are learning Chinese in Egypt,” the 24-year-old said. “But sadly, they know little about Chinese culture and the country.”
Like many Egyptians, Mohamed once believed that all Chinese people could perform kung fu, leaping onto roofs and walking over walls. He thought the country was not that developed. But after he got a scholarship to study in China in 2019, his view changed and he decided to show others what China really looks like.
“China has entered a new era, but stereotypes (刻板印象) and impressions are still of 1970’s China,” Mohamed said. “That’s why I started to shoot vlogs to share Chinese culture in 2019.”
Until now, Mohamed has uploaded more than 50 Chinese culture vlogs on Facebook. But making these vlogs is not easy. Take reading the poem Second Farewell to Cambridge by Chinese poet Xu Zhimo as an example. “I can understand and read every word in the poem,” Mohamed said. “But to resonate with (共鸣) readers, I need to use the appropriate feelings while reading.” So he needed to look for much background information and adjust his emotion to suit each part of the poem.

A.He wanted to be famous.
B.He wanted more people to know China.
C.He wanted to make money.

B.To show Chinese poetry is beautiful.

【3】What’s the key to reading a poem according to Mohamed?

最近学校正在展开一场急救知识普及活动,就此你所在的班级举行了一场讨论会,并提出以下几点建议。请你以“First Aid in Fires” 为题写一篇文章,说明发生火灾时要注意的几点事项,贴在班级的板报上。
First Aid in Fires
It’s important to know what to do in dangerous situations such as a fire.
When you are caught in a fire, don’t panic. Firstly, you should call 119 and report it at once. If you’re in thick smoke, keep close to the ground and use a towel to cover your mouth and nose. Secondly, don’t take a lift or jump from a high building. You can fasten ropes to something that’s fixed and then slide down the building. Thirdly, get away from the fire as quickly as you can. Nothing is more important than life. Remember: once you get out of the fire, don’t go back again.
