21、In much of Africa, whenever kids are in the forest, they are careful of the sound of laughter. It might be the first sign of a dangerous animal called the hyena（鬣狗）.

In China, lion dance has a long history. There are many professional (专业的) lion dancers in China. Deng Binguang is one of them.
“Lion dance performances can be seen in our hometown whenever people celebrate holidays,” said Deng who was born in a village in Teng County, Guangxi.
Deng joined a local lion dance team at the age of eight. He was so interested in the clothing for lions and the sound of drums that he followed the performers when watching them perform in his younger days.
In 2008, he met Chung To-yan, the director of the Bilintang Lion Dance Troupe. Chung invited Deng to join. Soon Deng became the head coach (教练) of the team of about 300 members. In 2019, for the first time they performed lion dance on CCTV Spring Festival Gala.
Like many other traditional art forms in China, lion dance also faces a decline(衰退) due to the poor pay for the performers and the physical risks. But Deng and Chung keep working on the traditional art. Chung works with schools to teach lion dance, helping more young people to become interested in this old art form.
