26、How many books have you finished since high school? Between study, work, family, and social lives, trying to find time to read can require more effort than a relaxing hobby. How to fit books into your tight schedule? 【1】
Borrow more books than you can consume. Libraries have extremely large “limits” on items you can check out. 【2】 Return anything you don’t get to. Some of the most efficient readers I’ve talked to return five out of six books unread. This is not something to feel guilty about.
【3】 If you have a whole morning to read, you might want some variety. People who read a lot have something going to satisfy all appetites.
Try the 50-page rule. If you feel you have to finish all the books you start, you may get caught up on something boring and not read again for weeks. 【4】 You’ll find something else you love more soon.
Ignore any thoughts about what you “should” be reading. It is OK if you won’t make it through a lot of the world’s great literature. Read what you want. 【5】 If you’re only reading because you “should” read, then over time, reading will drop from the top of your list down to laundry level or going to the dentist.
A.Read more than one book at a time.
B.Humans don’t do well with suffering long term.
C.You may have trouble deciding what to read first.
D.So go crazy and grab anything that looks interesting.
E.Quit after a few dozen pages if you’re not feeling it.
F.Reading is one of the most pleasurable activities out there.
G.Here’s how to make more time for your favorite page-turners.

28、Hobbies let you explore interests outside your work. 【1】 There are plenty of options available to you. How can you choose the hobby that suits you from these options? Here are some tips.
Look at what interests you. And examine what takes up your spare time, when you have it. Do you enjoy reading books? Maybe you want to try your hand at writing them. Do you like a cool beer at the end of the day? Maybe your hobby could be trying to make beer at home. 【2】
Think about what you value most. What qualities do you think important? Do you value wisdom or courage? Do you admire artistic expression? 【3】 For instance, maybe you could volunteer at a library as a hobby because you value education, or maybe you could take up painting because you admire people who can express themselves with art.
【4】 Certain hobbies require certain skill sets. If you don’t have much patience, then maybe hand sewing isn’t something you’d enjoy. However, if you love building things, maybe you should consider a hobby like building furniture.

It was Mother's Day and I was shopping at a local supermarket with my son who was five years old, Tennyson. As we were leaving after finishing our shopping, we realized that only minutes earlier an elderly woman had fallen over at the entrance and hit her head on the ground badly. Her husband was with her, but there was blood everywhere and the woman was embarrassed and clearly in shock. Fortunately, a lot of people stopped to help out.
While we were walking towards the scene, Tennyson became very worried about what had happened to the elderly couple. He said to me, “Mom, it's not much fun falling over in front of everyone.” Seeing that there was a flower stall(摊位)at the front of the supermarket, he added, “Why shouldn't we buy the lady a flower? It will make her feel better.” I was amazed that he'd come up with this sweet idea. So we went over and told the flower seller what we wanted. “Just take it,” she replied. “I can't take your money for such a wonderful deed.”
By now medical staff had arrived, and were looking after the injured woman. There we saw the old man was also in great horror, but he tried to comfort his wife and held her hands tightly to encourage her to be strong. We gave the flower to the woman's husband and I told him it was from my son. At that time, the old man started crying and said, “Thank you very much.” He then turned to me, “You have a wonderful son. Happy Mother's Day to you.”
The man bent down and gave his wife the flower, telling her who it was from. Regardless of being badly hurt, the old lady looked up at Tennyson with love in her eyes and gave him a little smile. And my son bent down his body to the injured lady and tenderly said, “Happy Mother's Day to you, too.”
Paragraph 1:
After a moment, the elderly lady was taken into an ambulance,
